ROLE OVERVIEW
Starlizard’s headcount has grown significantly over the last 4 years. A key challenge from a cultural perspective is to ensure that people embrace our values, are successfully integrated into our society and become active participants in all aspects of life at Starlizard.
The CEO Office – formed of the CEO, the COO and Executive Assistants – is responsible for company-wide strategy and initiatives. This role is being created to support the CEO Office maintain Starlizard’s strong cultural identity, and will be responsible for:
- Managing internal company events, clubs and networks designed to bring our people together throughout the course of the year.
- The strategic review, development, implementation and evaluation of a varied and engaging charity programme for employees
- Supporting departmental level social activity from ideas/proposals through to ensuring the collective diary is well balanced and inclusive.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Strategically design a social calendar to ensure a varied suite of events. These will range from c.20 person clubs and societies, through to company-wide Summer and Christmas parties for up to 450 attendees.
- Source, liaise and coordinate suppliers and venues within designated budgets to deliver successful events.
- Alongside the CEO Office, review and design a charity programme that engages and inspires employees across the company.
- Embed the Charity Programme within a company-wide social calendar.
- Promote events and engagement opportunities to the company.
- Measure performance and gather feedback to continually improve the programme.
- Work with charity partners to facilitate a range of engagement opportunities
- Communicate the charity strategy and impact of the programme to the entire company and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with our charity foundation partner to leverage expertise and ensure compliance of all aspects of the programme.
- Report on engagement and impact of the programme throughout the year to senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop strong relationships with representatives from across the business to maximise reach.
- Be present at and coordinate events, meaning occasional evenings will be required.
WHAT SKILLS WILL YOU HAVE?
- Experience fundraising or working with corporate charity programmes is highly beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships.
- An ability to adapt communication styles to a range of stakeholders and audiences and to judge who needs what information.
- Strong organisational skills and experience of managing the smooth running of complex events.
- An understanding of budget management, as well as negotiation skills to manage commercial terms and costs.
- Driven to join and contribute to a vibrant and welcoming community.
- A dynamic, creative leader that is passionate about charity and bringing people together.
- A strong and comfortable communicator, both verbally and in written communication.
- Outgoing, charismatic and interested in working with a wide network of people.
- Calm under pressure, able to pivot quickly and reactively if needed.
